Leitura de fim de semana / Weekend reading

Com o mau tempo a não dar tréguas, só apetece ficar em casa embrulhada num cobertor em frente à lareira, com litros de chá por companhia e um bom livro. Este fim de semana, vou juntar o útil ao agradável: tendo sido atacada por um problema frequente nas meninas de hoje em dia - "Céus! Não tenho nada para vestir!" - descobri o "Tanta roupa e nada para vestir" da Maria Guedes. Foi lançado ontem e estou morta por lhe pôr as mãos em cima, na esperança que a luz ao fundo do túnel finalmente se acenda!

As bad weather has decided to keep us company, we're only wanting to stay at home, cosying up in front of the fire place, drinking gallons of tea and a good book. This weekend, I'll be also doing something usefull, as I've been overwelmed with a common girl's problem : "God! I've got nothing to wear!". I've just discovered "Tanta roupa e nada para vestir" by Maria Guedes (which in english would translate into something like "So many clothes and nothing to wear"). It was launched yesterday but I'm dying to grab it, hoping that the light at the end of the tunnel will finally turn on.

Toast

Já recebi o novo catálogo da Toast e, para variar, é um verdadeiro festim para os olhos. Comprava tudo. Roupa, mantas, panos, vidros. Nada escapava. Vale a pena dar uma vista de olhos!

I've received the new Toast catalogue and, as usual, is a feast for the eyes. I'd buy everything. Clothing, throws, tea towels, glasses. Nothing would escape. It is worth taking a look!

Recomeçar / Starting over

Alguém disse que Setembro é o mês dos recomeços e não se enganou. Cá em casa, recomeçamos o ano oficialmente amanhã, com o inicio de mais um ano lectivo. Até aqui, andámos em arrumações, limpezas, renovações, etc.

Somebody said that September is the month where everything begins and didn't get it wrong. At our place, the year will officially start tomorrow, with the beggining of another school year. Until now, we were cleaning, organizing and changing things around the house.

No entanto, depois de ter visto esta casa, não importava nada de recomeçar em Guernsey.

Nevertheless, after I saw this house, I wouldn't mind starting up in Guernsey.
