Ia fazendo umas coisas só para passar o tempo - e porque quando via as coisas nas lojas achava que também conseguia fazer -ia dando umas voltas nos incontáveis blogs e sites sobre o assunto. Enfim. Até que cheguei à conclusão que não é tão difícil assim. Investiguei na net, pedi ajuda (Obrigada, Concha!) e pus mãos à obra.
I've always had it but I never had the guts to come out of the closet. I would work in some things to pass time - and because I saw things I thought that I was also able to do them - I would visit the loads of blogs and sites on the subject. Until I reached the conclusion that it was not that difficult. I've investigated the internet, asked for help (thanks, Concha!) and started working.

O Bend the rules sewing foi-me aconselhado pela Concha por ser óptimo para principiantes e ela tinha razão. Tudo explicadinho, todas as noções básicas demonstradas. Não deve haver melhor.
I bought two great books that are very helpfull:
Concha advised me to buy Bend the rules sewing as it it great for begginers and she was right. Great explanations as well as having all basic notions shown and explained. There's probably nothing better.
O Sew pretty homestyle também é fantástico para tirar ideias mas não é tão bom com a parte das explicações. Temos de trabalhar e improvisar mais para chegar ao resultado final, mas não deixa de ser um bom livro.
Sew Pretty Homestyle is also great for getting ideas but it's not as good when it comes to the tutorial part. We have to work and improvise more to get to the final result, but it is also a good book.
O mais engraçado disto tudo é que eu não tenho máquina de costura e é absolutamente indispensável. Não quero comprar já uma porque tenho receio que este entusiasmo esmoreça, por isso só avanço quando tiver a certeza (tipo, daqui a uma semana!). Entretanto, comprei uma substituta razoável - uma verdadeira piada! - que me vai dando uma boa ajuda. Sim, esta máquina é "de bolso", mas para os trabalhos básicos porta-se à altura de qualquer Bernina, minhas senhoras!!
The funniest part is that I don't have a sewing machine and it is absolutely indispensable. I don't want to get it now as I'm afraid that all this enthusiasm will gradually vanish, so I'll only decide on it when I'm absolutely sure (as in a week!). In the meantine, I got quite a reasonable replacement - a real joke! - that helps me out a lot. Yes, this is "a pocket" sewing machine mas in what basic works are concerned, it behaves as if it was a real Bernina!!
Por isso, anuncio oficialmente o início da actividade da Tia Anica (escolha difícil depois de pensar em molhos de bróculos e nabiças). Mostro-vos os trabalhos no próximo post.
